Privacy

The short version

This site is a small publisher’s website. It does not require an account and it does not sell anything directly. The only information we ask for is an email address, and only if you choose to unlock a book’s full narration. We do not sell or rent information about you to anyone.

No accounts

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not have a login or password. Reading any page here does not require you to identify yourself. If you own one of our books, the code printed inside it opens every chapter of its narration with no sign-up at all.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like essentially all web hosting, their infrastructure may automatically record standard technical information when a page is requested — such as an IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and browser or device details. That information is handled by our hosting provider under their own privacy practices, and we use it only to keep the site working and secure.

The Listen While You Color narration is stored with Vercel too. When you press play, your browser requests the audio file from Vercel’s storage, and the same kind of standard technical information may be recorded for that request. Nothing downloads until you press play, and we do not track what you listen to.

Email sign-up

Some listening pages play the first chapter for everyone and open the remaining chapters once you confirm your email address. When you enter it, we send one email from hello@classicworldscoloring.com with a link to confirm. Only after you use that link do we add the address to our mailing list, so we can tell you about new Classic Worlds books and narrations. If you never confirm, you will not receive our newsletter. Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you by writing to the address below.

Our mailing list is run by ActiveCampaign, which stores the address for us under its own privacy practices. We keep only your email address, the confirmation link we sent, and when you confirmed it.

While you are confirming, we save a small cookie that remembers which address this device is waiting on, for up to seven days. After you confirm, a small cookie simply remembers the chapters are unlocked on that device. It holds no personal information and is not used for advertising or tracking. If you clear it, confirm your email again to reopen the chapters.

Email you send us

If you write to hello@classicworldscoloring.com, we keep your message so we can reply and so we can refer back to it if you write again. We do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Children

Our books are enjoyed by readers of every age, but this website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. The email sign-up is meant for parents and other grown-ups, and there are no accounts or other forms for a child to fill in.

Links to other sites

Where we link to a retailer or another organisation, that site has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Changes

As the site grows, this page will be updated to describe honestly whatever the site does at that time. The date above will change with it.
